Was watching a news story about how record numbers of men are no longer in long term relationships, and the even worse effect that's having on the birth rate. They mentioned all kinds of things. Porn addiction, psychological effects of dating sites. But left out a couple very big issues. So I wanted to tell a story. My neighbors were married 20 years or so. Was best friends with their kids growing up. Wife travelled for her job, which involved setting up computers in offices. One day while she was in New Orleans on "work" the husband received divorce paperwork in the mail. She'd found a guy she liked better, wanted her cut of the value of their house, and to top it all off took half his paycheck. Keep in mind by this point both their kids were full grown and living on their own. And she had her own income and the support of another man. So I don't know what kind of assinine law made her entitled to his money. But many millennials witnessed nasty divorces like that growing up. I
